Dogs marked with * are hounds, beagles, and hound mix dogs. Hounds and
beagles make wonderful house pets, loving, intelligent, and funny. They
have short, sleek, easy-care coats. And their long, silky ears are so
beautiful to look at and so satisfying to pet. Don't overlook our "cool"
hounds!

Looking at our nice dogs from far away? We adopt to distant families very frequently, from Montana to Michigan! We appreciate out-of-county adopters, because we have an abundance of lovable homeless dogs here in southwest Wisconsin. We welcome our internet visitors and encourage you to call with any questions. We are happy to work with rescues too.

Adoption Applications
For your convenience, you may choose to print an Adoption Application Form and complete it before visiting us. Our application process includes checking references. Read more about our adoption process.

Adoption Costs
Dog adoptions are $150. This includes spay/neuter surgery and all necessary vaccinations. There are no extra hidden costs. We accept checks made out to "Vernon County Humane Society."
